Where hope grows, miracles blossom.

Hope is a waiting dream.
Never stop hoping and dreaming!

Hope is the ability to hear the music of the future.
Faith is having the courage to dance to it today.

Sometimes a little knowledge can be a bad thing...

For dinner I served meatloaf with roasted garlic mashed potatoes.  T-Man took one look at it and said,

"YUCK, this food is against the Word of Wisdom!!"

Impeccable Timing

It's been a rough, rough week. Turned on the radio and heard this song for the first time. I think things will be okay :)

Out of the Mouth of Babes....

"Why am I having such a tough time on mortal earth?"
~
Eye Dr.: "Okay, now I want you to put your feet at the back of the chair and your
knees at the front of the chair and sit up tall so you can see in this machine."
T-Man: "You mean you want me to kneel on the chair?"
~
T-Man:  "I want to make a robot."
Daddy:  "Why don't you draw a picture of what you want it to look like so you can plan it out first."
T-Man:  "Okay"
Daddy:  "Did you know that there are people called architects who draw pictures of buildings so they'll know how to make it?"
T-Man:  "Kinda like blueprints?"
Daddy:  (deflated) "Yes, kind of like blueprints"
~
T-Man:  "Mommy, I want some toast"
Mommy:  "Sure, just a minute please"
T-Man:  "If you don't make me some toast, I'll have to go make it myself!!"
Mommy:  (under her breath - please, please that would be great if you would make your own toast!)
~
Two signs that your son is watching too many commercials:
1.  "Mommy, don't forget:  1-866-4-fel.dco"
2.  From atop the hill at Grandpa's house:  "Why don't you have a SunSe.tter?" (a retractable awning)

And lest we forget..... Happy St. Patty's Day

"It's me first St. Patty's Day!"

Lunch is Served ... T-Man Style

YUM!

Lunch today consisted of the digestive system.  Each component of the meal had to be one of the organs in the digestive system; hence the haphazard collection of food called a lunch.

Let's not even discuss how the chicken "throat" is dipped into the honey {you know what}.

Awww....my little girl :)

I always thought I would have a daughter some day, but that must just not be in the cards for us (unless of course another miracle happens)! As of just recently, LDS Family Services will now only post your family's profile online if you have less than two children.

Poor T-Man will have to suffice as the daughter I will never have:

T-Man thinks that we look like twins -- hmmm, not seeing it :)

Actually, this was his idea and of course I just played along.  He claims that each of the hair clips is a planet in the Solar System (yes, our world is revolving around the Solar System these days; pun intended!)  Saturn kept falling off, so we only have seven planets.
Needless to say, Eric didn't find it as funny or cute as I did!

2 Months!

Hmmm.....Would I like some formula?  Or some formula?

Happy 2 Months!
Could I have just a little bit more?

Bringing Home Baby

I know we are a wee bit behind on this blog, but we're trying to catch up! January 15, 2011 was the day that we got to bring "home" baby I.  Wisconsin adoptions laws are different than Illinois and so we were required to stay in the state where the baby was born until the ICPC (interstate compact for the placement of children) cleared through the state of WI and then through the state of IL.  We were lucky enough to have a friend so kindly offer their weekend home to us for our week-long stay (Thank you Kelly & Joe - we are forever indebted!)

President's Day Celebration

President's are really big around here right now; all 44 of them.

All of the president's up to Jimmy Carter + Ronald W. Reagan have gone to heaven.

Franklin D. Roosevelt has eyes that look like a cameleon's having a meeting (??  I don't understand that one, either.)

Our day started with a full Presidential menu:

The Menu

Our breakfast began with "Ronald Reagan Rainbow Pancakes"

The batter

The baking

Flipped

Plated

Stacked and ready to eat!
We were only allowed 11 pretzels for "James K. Polk Pretzels" because he was the 11th president.

Following lunch, we had our dessert of cake (photo to follow - as soon as I figure out how to get it off my phone!)  It was (no longer in existence) a yellow bundt cake with chocolate frosting and primary color sprinkles.  We were only allowed one candle and the center of the cake had the Presidential Seal.  In order to be served a piece of cake you had to pick a president that you wanted to be while you ate it -- no repeats!

All 44 presidents attended (that would be all 44 stuffed animals) and T-Man had extended family come to join him for lunch and dessert.  He was very excited to share the festivities with others!
